This summer I updated the interior of the ole 1967 Saabo camper. The first shot is the before interior that the GM Museum had done. While they did beautiful work on the exterior of the Saabo and the quality of the upholstery was very good, the style was not so great.
Why a stuffed moose? Saab used to do crash testing with simulated mooses… This particular moose can be flipped inside out to become a Saab wagon. No, really!
Went on ebay and found a variety of vintage Scandanavian goodies, like this enamelware percolator with rosemåling that says roughly, “Coffee is the best drink on earth.”
Had to have some dala horse dishtowels and also found some new Catherineholm inspired Dansk melamine dishes.
In August we took her to Swedish Car Day at The Lars Anderson Auto Museum and had a great time with friends and came away with the prize for Best In Show!
