I handled the voting for the quilt show this year and there were about seven hundred votes to count…by hand. After the counting was done I didn’t want to throw out all that paper so I made some notebooks for the other quilt show committee members.
Each ballot was a 1/4 sheet of 8.5×11″ paper. I took about twenty of the ballots and put three staples along the edge. Took a hammer and pounded the staple bumps on the back flat. Cut out pretty paper slightly bigger, 6×9″, folded on the long edge. Ran a line of double-sided tape down the edge of the staples, front and back, placed in pretty paper. Creased front cover along edge of tape. Et voilà, cute little notebook.
